Introducing the CampbellAero™ Automated Weather Observing System (AWOS) solution, a comprehensive and innovative system powered by CampbellAero software. This turn-key solution encompasses software, hardware, engineering, and project services to deliver real-time, reliable, accurate weather data for aviation needs. The AeroX™ hardware maintains the flexibility you need to meet International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) and World Meteorological Organization (WMO) regulations, seamlessly integrates with third-party sensors, and is engineered in the only way we know how—with exceptional quality.
In addition, our CampbellAero software is designed for swift decision-making via tailored user interface (UI) designs to provide your data when needed. Glean insights and adapt airport operations based on the current conditions to maximize safety while saving resources. Behind CampbellAero stands the same Campbell Scientific team committed to constant innovation, long-term support, and aviation safety.
Sensor-agnostic. Tailored user views. Single-source hardware, software, and project management solution.
Real-time insights
Instantly capture and visualize weather data in the format you need, adapted for your specific needs, so your decisions are always well-informed.
Turn-key excellence
From AeroX hardware to CampbellAero software, our solution is crafted in-house and tested rigorously at our Utah headquarters.
Seamless integration
Whether you’re installing a comprehensive new system or integrating components within existing infrastructure, CampbellAero adapts to your needs.
ICAO-, WMO-, and regional-compliant solution
Airport managers, air traffic controllers, weather observers, and maintenance personnel can select their preferred sensing technologies, and users can customize their display layouts to improve efficiency and reduce near-term, subsequent project costs.
Remote access to diagnostics and METAR/SPECI reports
Network airport operators and personnel can access sensor and field-ready system diagnostics even for remotely located facilities. METAR/SPECI reports can be automatically generated or created by weather observers at remote locations, ensuring comprehensive weather data management and accessibility while reducing costs and downtime without interrupting airport operations.
Design, installation, training, and maintenance
Our comprehensive AWOS solution includes system design, the Factory Acceptance Test (FAT), training, calibration certificates, and the Site Acceptance Test (SAT). Customized Service Level Agreements (SLA) can be added to meet your airport's needs. We collaborate closely with airport authorities to design tailored solutions and provide continuous support throughout the lifetime of our products and systems, extending well beyond a decade.
Global support, local experts
With offices around the world, our local experts individually assess and address airport needs, minimizing system downtime and allowing our customers to focus on maintaining safe and efficient airport operations.
Rugged, reliable, field-ready
The AeroX Stream 200 Field Data Collection Unit (FDCU) serves as a critical juncture between the sensors in the field and the data processing unit (DPU). Powered by the same technology used on Mount Everest, the AeroX Stream 200 FDCU collects data from various meteorological sensors and sends the data to the DPU for processing and distribution, all while boasting a rugged and modular design.
Modular design
The AeroX Stream 200 accommodates a variety of sensors, communications peripherals, and power options for flexibility and reliability in extreme conditions.
Future-proof
The AeroX Stream 200 is future-proof, designed for scalability, and can be expanded without needing to replace the entire unit. This adaptability reduces future costs by allowing seamless integration of new or additional sensors and systems.
