send data a fast rate to FTP server

Hi to all

someone has done tests or has experiences with sending FTP data at high speed.

How far can we go with a CR1000X, 4G router and only 4..6 data points? thank you

from ftpclient help:

TimeOut (last parameter)

The TimeOut parameter is an optional parameter that specifies a time period, in 0.01 seconds, that the datalogger will wait for input after a connection is made, before considering the attempt failed and incrementing Result. The default TimeOut if this parameter is absent or 0 is 7500 (i.e., 75 seconds).

Connection latency is usually the limiting factor.

With a low latency connection, data transfer from a CR1000X tops out at about 100 kBytes/sec

ok thanks, for better or for worse it is no longer an urgency.

The customer end user has decided not to use this technique, I think it would have been an improper use, a forcing to send FTP data at 10 seconds.

The loggers will be interrogated remotely modbus at 10 sec from a SCADA

Connection latency is usually the limiting factor.

Only because of the limited TCP/IP buffer in the logger/firmware which in connection on waiting on ACKs gets worse the higher the latency of the com link is.
