I have a CR1000 in a rural area where the usual modem we use doesnt work, as this place is very remote.
The short-term solution we have is to buy a 4g modem that works great on remote areas but it only have an Ethernet RJ45 port.
Would this connection: CR1000-RS232 --> RJ45-Modem work properly?
I alredy have the RS232->RJ45 connector and the CR1000, but need to study the solution before buying the modem which is expensive and the only option available here.
Thanks for your time.
You need a NL121 or a NL201.
The RS232 to RJ45 cable is just a physical adapter. It does not give the datalogger an Ethernet connection.
